Description

BIO grape seed oil – is a pure BIO oil, cold pressed- extracted from the first pressing (extra virgin) and unrefined.

Why PURA BIO grape seed oil?

  • It is ecologically certified by Austria BIO Garantie (RO-ECO-018)
  • The seeds used to produce PURA BIO oil come exclusively from organically certified crops and are 100% seeds of Romanian origin
  • The cold pressing method, using exclusively mechanical processes, as opposed to the refining process, is the healthiest way to obtain vegetable oil. Cold pressed oil preserves unaltered nutrients as well as all the vitamins and minerals found in seeds
  • After pressing, PURA BIO oil is gravitationally filtered – it is allowed to settle naturally, thus preserving the taste and aroma
  • Our oils do not contain heavy metals, pesticides, additives or preservatives
  • The packaging is made of dark glass to protect the oil from the sun’s rays, thus keeping the properties intact.

Benefits of consuming cold pressed BIO grape seed oil

PURA BIO grape seed oil is obtained exclusively by  mechanical cold pressing process of grape kernels (Vitis Vinifera) and is one of the most valuable oils with antioxidant role, helping to maintain the elasticity of blood vessels and lower cholesterol levels. It also has a high content of linoleic acid (Omega 6), oleic acid (Omega 9) and phenolic compounds. Grape seed oil contains significant amounts of vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol) and vitamin F, as well as some minerals: zinc, copper, selenium. But, above all, it contains the so-called proanthocyanidins (abbreviated OPC), which is a compound with a strong antioxidant effect, 50 times stronger than vitamin E and 20 times stronger than vitamin C.

Most importantly, the antioxidant activity of grape seed oil is the result of the high concentration of vitamin E isomers, namely γ-tocotrienol, which is rarely found in other oils.

BIO Grape Seed Oil – Use:

  • Internal. This oil is administered primarily through food, being an excellent addition to salads, sauces and various dishes. The daily dose of oil is 2-4 tablespoons a day, which can be consumed as such, or in food. With a high boiling point (almost 200 ° C), it is also ideal for cooking at high temperatures.
  • External. Apply 1 – 3 drops on the skin, face and hair, by light massage or add to serums, creams and cleansing lotions, massage oils, shampoo or conditioner. It appears as an ingredient in products such as sunscreens, moisturizers, anti-wrinkle creams and a number of other beauty-related items.

Health benefits with BIO grape seed oil

  • A barrier against infections. The active substances in cold-pressed grape oil act as an immune stimulant in several ways: they catalyze the action of vitamin C in the body, promote the production of immunocompetent cells and activate existing ones.
  • Reduces the risk of vascular diseases. When used in the daily diet, added to salads or other meals, cold-pressed grape seed oil reduces the risk of vascular disease, atherosclerosis, circulatory disease or even arthritis.
Unsaturated fatty acids contained in grape seed oil help prevent degenerative processes in the blood vessels and maintain vascular elasticity.
  • Protects the heart. Experts recommend that this oil should be consumed daily to prevent the occurrence of circulatory disorders such as high blood pressure and oscillating blood pressure.
  • Reduces joint pain. Research has shown the effect of grape seed oil in rheumatic diseases. Arthritis sufferers, who introduced this oil in their diet, found a reduction in pain due to inflammation.

BIO grape seed oil – other benefits

  • Immune stimulant. Grape seeds contain substances such as zinc, copper, selenium, vitamin E and proanthocyanidins, which are the strongest enemies of free radicals, thus helping to increase the body’s immunity.
  • It has anti-aging properties. Due to the antioxidants it contains, grape seed oil fights free radicals effectively. Thus, they prevent cell degradation and the appearance of signs of aging, including premature wrinkles. Rich in vitamin E, it is an elixir for maintaining the youth of the skin, but also for preventing dermatological diseases (keratosis, psoriasis, depigmentation, etc.).
  • It can help prevent Alzheimer’s disease. Recent observations from experimental studies have shown that polyphenols in grape seeds can interfere with specific neuropathogenic mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s disease. This suggests a potential new role for polyphenols in grape seeds in its treatment.
  • May reduce the risk of cancer. Some phenolic compounds in grape seed oil have anticancer activities and act to modulate the cell cycle. They are cytotoxic to tumor cells without compromising healthy cells. Proanthocyanidins are polymers of flavan-3-ol with antiproliferative effect on cancer cells.

BIO grape seed oil – Beneficial effects on skin and face

  • It has an anti-aging effect. Due to the antioxidants it contains, grape seed oil fights free radicals effectively. It also helps prevent wrinkles, especially those around the eyes
  • Maintains skin elasticity because it contains a complex of flavonoids that play an important role in stabilizing the level of collagen and elastin in the skin
  • It has astringent properties. Due to the content of linoleic acid and vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol), grape seed oil has a regenerating and restructuring effect. In addition, it speeds up the healing of acne-induced lesions and improves the quality of skin cells. It can also speed up the wound healing process and reduce scars.
  • It can also be used in hair treatments. Grape seed oil helps to normalize the scalp and moisturize the hair; ideal for split, dry, dull hair. DHT (dihydrotestosterone) has also been shown to decrease. This is a common culprit for hair loss in both men and women, thus stimulating the growth of new hair.
  • It is an excellent moisturizer for the skin. Due to the high content of linoleic acid, grape seed oil penetrates the skin quickly. It also reduces water loss from the epidermis and moisturizes the skin.

Why cold pressed oil?

  • Cold pressed oil is obtained at a maximum temperature of 40 ° C, thus keeping the content of vitamins and minerals intact . Excess temperature (up to 270 ° C) used during the refining process leads to loss of nutritional values of the oil. It also leads to the formation of unwanted chemicals, such as free radicals and trans fatty acids.
  • The cold pressing method is a mechanical process that does not require the addition of chemicals that can be harmful to health. Chemical solvents (hexane) are used in the refining process in order to extract a maximum oil amount oil. Although hexane separates later, it is very likely to remain in small amounts in the finished oil.
  • By cold pressing, the oils obtained retain the vitamins, minerals and poly and monounsaturated acids. The processes carried out during refining (degumming, bleaching, deodorization) lead to the disappearance of the active ingredients from the oil. It is also very possible that the composition contains toxic residues of chemicals. They are used in the production process or added preservatives to extend the shelf life.
