Benefits

PURA BIO grape seed oil is obtained exclusively by the mechanical cold pressing process of grape kernels (Vitis Vinifera) and is one of the most valuable oils with antioxidant role, helping to maintain the elasticity of blood vessels and lower cholesterol levels. It also has a high content of linoleic acid (Omega 6), oleic acid (Omega 9) and phenolic compounds. This oil, grape seed oil, contains significant amounts of vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol) and vitamin F, as well as some minerals: zinc, copper, selenium. But, above all, it contains so-called proanthocyanidins (abbreviated OPC). They are a compound with a strong antioxidant effect, 50 times stronger than vitamin E and 20 times stronger than vitamin C.

Most importantly, the antioxidant activity of grape seed oil is the result of the high concentration of vitamin E isomers, namely γ-tocotrienol, which is rarely found in other oils.

Grape seed oil – Use:

  • Internal. This oil is administered primarily through food, being an excellent addition to salads, sauces and various dishes. The daily dose of oil is 2-4 tablespoons a day, which can be consumed as such, or in food. With a high burning point (almost 200 ° C), it is also ideal for cooking at high temperatures.
  • External. Apply 1-3 drops on the skin, skin and hair, by light massage or add to serums, creams and cleansing lotions, massage oils, shampoo or conditioner. It appears as an ingredient in products such as sunscreens, moisturizers, anti-wrinkle creams. And in many other beauty articles.

Health benefits

  • A barrier against infections. The active substances in cold-pressed grape oil act as an immune stimulant in several ways: they catalyze the action of vitamin C in the body, promote the production of immunocompetent cells and activate existing ones.
  • Reduces the risk of vascular diseases. When we use cold pressed grape seed oil in our daily diet, added to salads or other meals, it reduces the risk of vascular disease, atherosclerosis, circulatory disease or even arthritis.
Unsaturated fatty acids contained in grape seed oil help prevent degenerative processes in the blood vessels and maintain vascular elasticity.
  • Protects the heart. Specialists recommend that this grape seed oil should be consumed daily. This is to prevent the occurrence of circulatory disorders, such as high blood pressure and oscillating blood pressure.

Grape seed oil – other beneficial effects

  • Reduces joint pain. Research has shown the effect of grape seed oil in rheumatic diseases. Arthritis sufferers, who introduced this oil in their diet, found a reduction in pain due to inflammation.
  • Immune stimulant. Grape seeds contain substances such as zinc, copper, selenium, vitamin E and proanthocyanidins, which are the strongest enemies of free radicals, thus helping to increase the body’s immunity.
  • It has anti-aging properties. Due to the antioxidants it contains, this grape seed oil fights effectively against free radicals, thus preventing cell degradation and the appearance of signs of aging, including premature wrinkles. Rich in vitamin E, it is an elixir for maintaining the youth of the skin, but also for preventing dermatological diseases (keratosis, psoriasis, depigmentation, etc.).

Grape seed oil – other benefits

  • It can help prevent Alzheimer’s disease. Recent observations from experimental studies have shown that polyphenols in grape seeds can interfere with specific neuropathogenic mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s disease. This suggests a potential new role for polyphenols in grape seeds in its treatment.
  • May reduce the risk of cancer. Some phenolic compounds in grape seed oil have anticancer activities and act to modulate the cell cycle. They are cytotoxic to tumor cells without compromising healthy cells. Proanthocyanidins are polymers of flavan-3-ol with antiproliferative effect on cancer cells.

Beneficial effects on skin and skin

  • It has an anti-aging effect. Due to the antioxidants it contains, grape seed oil fights against free radicals, helps prevent wrinkles, especially those around the eyes.
  • Maintains skin elasticity because it contains a complex of flavonoids that play an important role in stabilizing the level of collagen and elastin in the skin
  • It has astringent properties. Due to the content of linoleic acid and vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol), grape seed oil has a regenerating and restructuring effect. Accelerates the healing of acne-induced lesions and improves the quality of skin cells. It can also speed up the wound healing process and reduce scars.
  • It can also be used in hair treatments. You can use grape seed oil to normalize the scalp and moisturize the hair. It is ideal for split, dry, dull hair. It has also been shown to lower DHT (dihydrotestosterone), a common culprit for hair loss in both men and women. This stimulates the growth of new hair.
  • It is an excellent moisturizer for the skin. Due to the high content of linoleic acid, grape seed oil penetrates quickly into the skin. It also reduces water loss from the epidermis and moisturizes.

Why cold pressed grape seed oil?

  • Cold pressed oil is obtained at a maximum temperature of 40 ° C, thus keeping intact the content of vitamins and minerals. Excess temperature (up to 270 ° C) used during the refining process leads to loss of nutritional values of the oil. It also leads to the formation of unwanted chemicals, such as free radicals and trans fatty acids.
  • The cold pressing method is a mechanical process that does not require the addition of chemicals that can be harmful to health. Chemical solvents (hexane) are used in the refining process in order to extract a maximum amount of oil. Although hexane subsequently separates, it is very likely to remain in small amounts in the final oil version. Pura Agro produces a grape seed oil that does not contain any of such unhealthy compounds.
  • By cold pressing, the oils obtained retain their content of vitamins, minerals and poly and monounsaturated acids. The processes carried out during refining (degumming, bleaching, deodorization) lead to the disappearance of the active ingredients from the oil. It is also very possible that toxic residues may be found in the composition. They come from chemicals used in the production process or added preservatives to extend the shelf life.
